In this tutorial, we’ll go over how to post a listing to WeROpenChautauqua.us. If you haven’t created one already, you will need to create an account to manage your listings from. If you already have an account, you will need to be signed in.
Selecting one of the listing type options will bring you to a form, depending on which type you chose. The forms will differ slightly based on what type of information is relevant to the listing.
For a Business Listing, there are eight sections, each with a few different fields to fill out. Fields marked with (optional) are not required to submit your listing.
The first is the General section, which is broken down into three parts. The Title, the Tagline and the Description.
Title – The name of your Business. This is the primary name that will be displayed with your listing.
Tagline – This is a subheading that displays below your business name. Use this for your business slogan, or any other short message you might want visitors to see immediately.
Description – A description of your business. Use this place to let visitors know about you, what you offer or any other additional information you’d like them to see that isn’t covered in the basic form. This information is displayed on your main listing page.
The next section is Images. The right images can tell a visitor a lot about your business. Be sure to fill this section with photos that will draw people in!
The Images section is made of three parts:
Logo – Your business’ logo goes here. This image displays in several places around WeROpenChautauqua.us. It identifies you on the map, is at the top of your listings in searches, an displays on your main listing page. Note: Be aware that this image is cropped into a circle, so if your image is too long or tall in one direction, parts of it may be cut off. You will be able to preview how your listing displays before you submit it.
Cover Image – This image will display as a header across your listing in both searches, and on your main listing page.
Gallery Images (optional) – Here you can submit additional images to display on your main listing page. This is a great place to feature signature products, photos of your location or even photos of your staff!
Contact Information is where you can let people know how to contact you. All of this information is optional, however we highly recommend you include it.
Email (optional) – An email address visitors can use to contact you to ask questions. If you fill out this field, a simple contact form will be added to your main listing page. Submissions to this form will go to the email entered here.
Phone number (optional) – Your phone number visitors can call to get information about your business or to place and order. If you fill in this field, a “Call Now” button will be displayed on your main listing page.
Website (optional) – Your business website. Filling out this field will add a link to your website.
Social Networks is a section where you can list your social media accounts, so visitors can connect with you in multiple ways. There are several options to choose from including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Snapchat, Pinterest and YouTube.
Work Hours is where you can list your hours of operation. Select the day you wish to set hours for, and select from Enter hours, Open all day, Closed all day and By appointment only. If you select Enter hours click the Add Hours button and enter in your open and closing times. This field is optional.
Location displays a map with a pinpoint of you business location.
Listing Details allows you to select options to help visitors discover your listing.
Categories – These help visitors find the types of businesses they are looking for when exploring WeROpenChautauqua.us.
Tags (optional) – Additional features your business might offer that visitors can use to help refine their searches.
Other is a section that allows you to add additional miscellaneous details to your listing.
Price Range (optional) – Add an approximate price range for your services. These are shown as a scale from $ through $$$.
Choose Events (optional) – Connect any Event listings you may have posted that are happening at your business to your main listings page.
And that’s all there is to it! After you hit the Submit Button, your listing is sent to our moderators to review. You will receive an email notifying you when your listing has been approved and is live. Once live, you will be able to view your listing performance from your Dashboard.
Note: Your approval email will be sent to the email attached to your account, not the one you added to your listing.
