How To Claim a Listing

This tutorial will go over how to claim a listing. Some of the listings on WeROpenchautauqua.us have been entered by our staff. If you own a business, but don’t have control of it through your account, you can claim the listing to have it added to your dashboard.

Claiming a listing will give you the ability to edit the listing, and will also mark the listing as a Verified Listing. To claim a listing, you will be logged into your account.

Step 1: Find the Listing you’d like to Claim

To claim a listing, first you need to go to the Main Listing Page of the listing you want to claim. If the listing is unclaimed, an extra button will appear in the listing’s menu labeled Claim Listing. See the image below.

If you do not see this button, then the listing has already been claimed by another user. If the listing is yours and has been falsely claimed, you can report the listing or contact us for assistance.

Step 2: Select a Package

Next, select the package you would like to claim the listing under. For a free listing, select Free Listing. At this time we are not offering paid packages to feature listings.

Step 3: Wait for your Claim to be Approved

After selecting a package, your claim will be submitted for review. You can monitor the status of your claims from your Dashboard by navigating to My Listings and selecting Claim Requests from the drop down menu on the right. Your listing will display as being Pending, Declined or Approved. See the example below.

Here you can see examples of each possible status for your listing. The Netsync IT Services listing we have just submitted a claim for is still Pending, While the DFT Security and DFT Communications Listings are Approved. The Chadwick Bay Broadcasting claim however, was Declined.

If your claim is approved, your listing will now also be marked as a Verified Listing. You can see that a listing is verified by the blue check mark next to the Listing Title. See the image below for an example.
